As a student at QinetiQ one of my roles is to research and engineer software applications for various clients around the world. Often this requires a high level of discretion due to the high security level that is required for these applications. I have also had the opportunity to become closely involved with the Networking and System Administration department of the business. Within this role I have developed many skills in the following areas of Networking - System Engineering & Administration: Active Directory, Server level Tape backups, Client Desktop support, Server Virtualization, Routing/VLANs, as well as various mandatory security aspects. One of the largest projects I was tasked with to complete solo, was the setup and cloning of multiple encrypted laptops for deployment as part of a newly built network.
